U.S. slaps anti-dumping duties of up to 75% on Korean steel

Less than three weeks after South Korea and the U.S. announced they'd resolved trade-related issues concerning their bilateral free trade agreement, the U.S. has slapped anti-dumping duties of up to 75-percent on Korean steel.<br /> The U.S. Commerce Department said Thursday that it's sticking to its preliminary decision made in October to levy duties on a number of Korean steel producing companies of 'Oil Country Tubular Goods,' one of Korea's main steel export items.<br />U.S. officials say some companies will be charged higher duties as they were deemed uncooperative in submitting materials related to the case. <br />
